BETRAYED tells the stories of an invisible population of victims - the parents, siblings, and grandparents of transgender-identified youth. Their trauma, loss, and rage are beyond measure, but until now, they were forced underground and silenced.

This film gives family members the microphone. They tell us how trusted schools, therapists, doctors, and courts misled and betrayed them. They describe the nightmares that unfolded in their homes, and how they grieve children who are still alive.

BETRAYED is not about hormones or legislation, it’s a human story about love, loss, and the systematic destruction of families by institutions they trusted.

​

The global debate about medical interventions for gender confusion is shifting. Detransitioners are gaining attention and lawsuits are mounting. In order to appreciate the full scope of the catastrophe, we must hear from the families.

​

BETRAYED is entirely donor supported. Production has started, and the film is targeting a winter 2026 release.
